What, Why & Who

A/N REP is made up of actor/directors/producers and more. who have come together to create work for themselves. We are a back to basics company that turns the traditional model of theatre procedure on its head. We, the actors, engage the directors and other creatives to produce plays we want to be in.

To focus on the storytelling, as a company, we are economical with sets and design. We are an environmentally friendly company that pledges to use as little paper as possible focusing instead on digital communication and marketing. We intend to leave the world a better place both artistically and for our environment.

Our company is an evolution and modernisation of the old Actor/Manager Repertory Company that produced many of the legends of British Theatre, Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir John Gielgud, Dame Edith Evans and many many more. We take inspiration from this system and give it a new lease of life.

We are passionate about stories and want to share our vision of amazing narratives with audiences across the UK. We want to focus on communities who haven’t got the loudest voices and share their stories with people who have never met, heard or seen them.

We also do what we can to support the up and coming and yet to emerge talent in the UK theatre industry. We believe in a renaissance of repertory theatre and if you do too why not join us

The old adage “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know” is true, so let’s get to know one another!

Courtney Larkin Theatre director & board member

Courtney is an award nominated theatre director based in London. Her work is actorcentric, physically fluid and features meticulously crafted atmospheric landscapes. She specializes in New Writing, North American Drama and Shakespeare. Her work focuses on textual analysis and â€‹the actor’s instinctual behaviour to the surrounding environment. ASSOCIATE ACTORS

MALCOLM JEFFERIES

Malcolm trained at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance and has been performing for 15 years now with wide experience in all areas of acting from Theatre, TV and Film. His real passion for the craft is within the discipline of theatre. From rehearsal to performance and the experience of the shared space with an audience is what excites and inspires him. The fading out of the classic 'rep' company is something that he is keen to address as he feels Rep has so much to offer a new audience in the 21st century. To be part of the new movement lead by All or Nothing is a great honour.
